Hi there! How was your weekend? I can't believe we're already four weeks into 2013! How are you doing with your fitness goals? It's been a chilly January, and luckily I have a treadmill at home to be able to log some miles. As far as sticking with my goals, I would give myself a C+. I recapped my goals below and have made a few notes. While I haven't put forward 100% effort, I think I'm still doing a pretty good job of trying to meet my goals.

Work out at least four times a week - Successfully worked out four times a week until the week of the marathon. I only exercised twice that week, but I think it's okay since I needed to recover. :)
Walk/Run 1,000 miles - On a good track with this goal!
Complete a half marathon without any walking (I've done it once, I can do it again!) - Still working on this one. I have a few 1/2 marathons on the horizon, but my big one is in September.
Complete a sub-30 5k (may be a stretch!) - May focus more on logging longer runs than speed this year. For me, I think I need to accomplish the distance before I can improve my speed, so I may update this goal.
Incorporate more weight training - F for me on this one. I haven't started yet (if you don't count PT for my back!). I plan to start soon.
Clean up my eating - I have done much better with cutting back on my late night eating. If I do crave sweets, I have been trying to eat fruit with a schmear of PB. My meals have incorporated more veggies, which is always a good thing!

Nike Capri Pants Review
I've had a chance to wear some of my new gear a few times, so I think it's time for a review! My favorite out of all the pieces is the black Nike capris. I wore them during the Disney marathon (review/recap to come) and they stayed put the entire time! I know I've said it before, but since I'm tall, it's nice to find a pair of capris that are long enough and stay put! These didn't budge once. Although I didn't use it, there is a nice little pocket in the front of the pants. I think it's perfectly sized for your key, license and some money or even a pack of GU.
I sweat a ton when I exercise and these stayed really dry! While you could see my sweaty tush, I didn't feel like the pants were soaked like many other pairs of pants I have. Overall, I would recommend these capris to anyone looking for a flattering, well-fitting pair of capris. They are great for both low and high-impact activities. These have definitely become my favorite pair of capris and I hope to find a few more pair since I plan on wearing them a lot!
