24 Hours in NYC

Hi all - just checking in with an update from my quick weekend getaway to NYC.  We lucked out with the gorgeous weather and spent most of Sunday outside in Central Park!

We arrived in New York around 4pm on Saturday and checked into our Midtown hotel.  We had a little happy hour in our room while getting ready for our night out on the town.  After some wine, cheese, crackers and apples, we ventured out to Dos Caminos for some margaritas and more snacks.  A little later we headed over to the Empire State Building.  All the times I've visited NYC, I've never been to the Empire State Building.  We decided an evening trip would be a great time and the views were definitely worth it!

Sunday morning, at the recommendation of our hotel's concierge, we visited the Madison Restaurant for breakfast.  It hit the spot!  With full bellies, we walked over to the Central Park Zoo.  While this zoo was small, I really enjoyed it.  The weather was perfect for a stroll in Central Park!Sadly, it was time to head home, but not before stopping at Magnolia Bakery for some sweet treats.  It was the perfect way to end our 24 hours in the city.
