Happy Wednesday!

On the drive home from work last night, I had a debate... With myself. I needed to work out since I'd taken Monday as an unplanned rest day. My legs were really sure from my spin class Sunday morning and I'm trying to be careful about not over doing things since I'm very injury prone.  Anywho, I knew I needed to get in some form of exercise, but I didn't want to work out at all.  So I made a deal with myself that I would complete two miles on the treadmill. I mean, I could do two miles!

A soon as I got home, I changed into my workout gear so I wouldn't procrastinate. It also helped that I had a new pair of capris to wear (super comfy, by the way)! After quickly changing, I jumped on the treadmill. I recently downloaded some new tunes, which definitely helped to motivate me during my run. I decided to do some walk/run intervals to help quickly pass the time. I started off with a 1:2 ratio (walk .1 mile and run .2 mile). Once I got to 1.2 miles, I decided to just keep running for a mile. Since I made it to mile two and hadn't gotten in a cool down, I decided to just go for 3 miles. With my cool down, I ended up with 3.1 miles.

I was a sweaty mess when I finished, but so happy I did it!

Do you ever have to make a deal with yourself about getting in some exercise or are you always ready to work out?
