...As in, I'm still trying to find it! Last week, I exercised only once. I was lacking any motivation to do anything of the physical sort. There may have been something in the air because I saw quite a few posts on Facebook about people lacking the desire to exercise and feeling totally lazy. This made me feel a bit better because I knew I wasn't the only one with little to no motivation.
Saturday afternoon, I ran for three miles on the treadmill. I kept a slow-ish pace for the first 2.5 miles, then kicked it up a notch for the last 1/2 mile. I thought I was going to hurl! But, I am glad I did it.
Today starts a new training week, so I will put last week in the past and try not to dwell on it. I am going into this week with a positive mindset and hopefully my training will reflect this.
What do you do when you need motivation? I read some of my favorite running blogs for motivation as well as look to other forms of social media (Instagram, Facebook, etc) to see what my friends are up to.Labels: exercise, motivation, running
