Pile on the Miles - Week One

Hi there!  I hope you all made it safely through Hurricane Sandy.  Luckily, Boston wasn't hit too hard compared to other Northeast regions.  My heart and prayers go out to those affected.

My previous post was about a running challenge for the month of November - Pile on the Miles.  The challenge started on November 1 and so far, I've run 6.4 miles.  My goal is to run 80 miles, or about 20 miles per week.  I felt 20 miles was a good number - It's more miles I normally run in a week, yet it's still a realistic goal.  Below is a recap of week #1 as well as my plan for week #2.

I really hope I can stick to this plan!  I love a fun challenge and this one is a good way to help keep off the extra holiday weight!  How about you?  Is there anything you like to do this time of year in order to keep of the extra pounds?

After my run, I was hungry!  I whipped up a smoothie that included coconut milk, strawberries, banana, mango, and spinach.  It was delish and hit the spot!
