Quick Reservoir Workout

Happy Saturday! I hope you're having beautiful weather in your neck of the woods! Today I had some work to catch up on before heading to a birthday party. I needed to get in a workout, but didn't have a lot of time. So, I decide to head to the reservoir and get in a short run as well as a quick circuit. I've been doing this at least once a week lately and it's a great way to get in a quick, heart pumping workout when you're pressed for time. The only equipment needed is a park bench (or anything that's high enough for step ups and tricep dips).

After a one mile run around the reservoir, I completed three sets of the following exercises:

15 push ups (I did mine on the back of a bench)
10 step ups per leg*
10 tricep dips
10 walking lunges per leg*

Cool down by stretching and walking for a few minutes. With the stretching, I was done in about 30 minutes which was about all the time I had! I'm glad I decided to get in a workout instead of bailing on it. 30 minutes is better than nothing!

* Make the workout a bit harder by doing the leg exercises back to back.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
