Cate and The Terrible. Horrible. No Good. Very Bad Run.

Yes, I realize that is a long title, but that is how I felt after my slow and painful run this afternoon.  I wanted to run five miles today but that wasn't happening.  As soon as I set out on my run, I just wasn't feelin' it.  It didn't help that my ankle was sore...  And then my knees.

I'd planned on running five miles because I have a five mile race in a month and I really wanted to improve my time from last year's race.  Oh well!  I guess there is always my next run.  I ended up barely getting in 2.3 miles.  But, I am not letting it get me down because I know even a bad run is better than no run!  I am now at home enjoying a stawban (strawberry banana) smoothie while icing everything my knees and right ankle (Disregard the cigar smoking in the photo - This has nothing to do with my poor performance today!).



Tomorrow I will most likely opt for the elliptical and some weights.  Monday and Tuesday I am traveling for business so I hope to get in a TM run at some point.  I will tackle my five miler again next weekend and I hope to rock it!
