So, I've been really lazy since Thursday. Maybe not really lazy... I guess having a mild stomach bug and strep throat is a good reason to not hit up the gym, but I can't help but feel super lazy. I'm looking forward to getting back into a routine - Hopefully as soon as tomorrow! In the meantime, I've been spending some quality time with my sofa and TV. Since I'm sick, and can't bore you with my running stories I wanted to share a recipe with you that I tried last week.
These breakfast cookies are really good and so versatile - They're perfect as both a pre and post workout snack. They're also great with some yogurt or a smoothie for breakfast. The recipe calls for dried cherries, but I used dried cranberries. Confession: For two recent recipes, I have used dried whole cranberries thinking they were cherries. Uuuuummm... Maybe you shouldn't really trust my cooking and baking skills if I can't tell the difference between two dried fruits!
The recipe for these cookies can be found at my homegirl's blog How Sweet It Is. Okay, she's not really my homegirl. In fact, she doesn't even know I exist which makes me sad because I think we'd be BFFs in real life. Is that weird? Whatever. Make these and you'll love them! I challenge you to not eat at least two of them right out of the oven!
Have a good night and I hope to have a more fitness oriented post soon!
