Feels Like Spring

I hope you've all been enjoying your weekend.  This weather has been beautiful!  Yesterday was sunny and in the upper 40s and today was in the 40s and just as sunny.  That's pretty warm for the end of January in New England!  It was perfect running weather, so Alison and I headed out for a run in Cambridge this morning.  We ran 2.5 miles around Fresh Pond while dodging lots of cute, leash-less dogs.  We even saw a dog fight so you know Michael Vick was not far.  It wasn't really a dog fight - Just a couple of dogs showing each other their teeth.  It was exciting nonetheless!  Yeah, I don't have much going on in my life if I find that exciting!

Although the temps were in the 40s, it was a bit chilly with the wind coming off of the pond.  But once we got warmed up, I almost needed to peel off the layers!  I would have liked to run farther, but my knee began to feel a bit sore.  I'm running a 10-miler in a month so I want to be sure I am in good shape for it.  As much as I prefer to run outdoors, I think to keep my knee feeling okay, I'll have to log more miles on the treadmill.  It's a bummer, but I'd rather run on the treadmill than injure myself.

After our run, we headed to breakfast and then went for a quick trip to Trader Joe's.  $65 later, I had a few treats worth sharing.  I've had the cookie butter before, but found the cookie butter filled chocolate bar as well as the biscuits.  Yum!  The butter is like crack and despite the fact that crack is whack, I still opted to buy it!  I may need rehab someday soon, but it's soooo worth it!  I hope the chocolate bar is as good as I've dreamed heard about.  It's just over 200 calories, but it's made with dark chocolate so it must be good for me!

I also finally found the toscano with espresso as well as the toscano soaked in syrah.  I've had the cinnamon dusted toscano which is delicious so I hope these are as well!  I would have bought the cinnamon toscano too but sadly, there didn't have any in stock.  Oh well - Guess I'll have to make another trip to TJ's (twist my arm)!

Have you been having nice weather as well?  I hope so and that you were able to get out and take advantage of it.  What are your fitness plans for the week?  Here is my plan for the week:
